A Webdesign Podcast?

April 8th, 2009

UPDATE: Looks like there’s a new podcast in town – if you get a chance, take a look at Outlaw Design Blog’s podcast. First episode is definitely worth a listen for anyone trying to promote themselves online or start up a freelance career.

Sometimes it’s nice to learn about web design without having to sit in front of a computer. One way of doing this is by reading books, but if you’re looking for something a little more ‘passive’ and enjoyable I would highly recommend listening to the Boag World Web Design Postcast. I know it sounds nerdy (probably because it is), but if you’re into web design then you should really take a minute to check it out. It’s a weekly gig that is usually really informative and put together quite professionally.

The two hosts of the show are both employed with Headscape, a British web design firm that looks to build nice sites. Paul and Marcus are a good mix and offer a relatively entertaining experience given the subject matter. If anything – listen to at least the news section; it’s always at the start of the podcast and wraps up any big industry news for the week. Give it a few eposides before passing any judgements as some of the podcasts can be hit and miss.
