Featured Designs – CKS Design

While life in Bermuda is generally sunny and relaxing, there are certainly drawbacks to living on an island. For one, goods and services are much less diverse than continental locations. Almost everything needs to be imported, and with such a small population, there are fewer people interested in doing business on the island.
Enter CKS Design, a Bermudian business that specializes in the conceptualization and construction of high-end kitchens, bathrooms, and more. CKS is doing their best to bring luxurious and quality construction to Bermuda, as well as providing residents with a means of purchasing high-end goods that are not always available on island. We understood early on that their project would be a perfect opportunity to show off our great design, giving them a site that lives up to their high class image.
Project Goals
CKS’s previous site was a clear example of poor design. It was built using tables; a method that makes site updates lengthily and painful. It had a broken navigation that did not allow users to return to the homepage, and even worse, they had zero visibility on google which resulted in almost no site traffic.
Making it Right
It was clear that we would need to completely rebrand, redesign, and relaunch CKS Design’s website. After coming up with a fantastic monochromatic design we started building their site. Like all our sites, it was built with clean code – ensuring cross browser support and future compatibility. We made sure to code everything in a search engine friendly manner, to help improve visibility on google. We also created a custom image gallery from scratch, allowing CKS to manage their portfolio images without having to go through a web design firm.
The Bottom Line
Since relaunching their site CKS has enjoyed a massive increase in site traffic and is no longer ashamed to give out their web address. They are very happy with their site and feel that it helps reinforce the legitimacy of their businesses. Your website is often the first thing a client will see when learning about your organization, so it pays to have a professional and nice looking website.
